3:00pm : Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? Revelation 1   We have heard dates that have come and passed about Jesus return,  We should all know that the bible says He will come like a thief in the night, The bible tells us that we should watch for the signs of the times and there are lots of them happening right now.  Every generation says that Jesus will return in their day and our generation is no different.  I believe we will see Jesus in our time.  When you believe this you live life very different or it should make you live different.  When you heard Jesus would possibly return on the 21st of last month did it make you do anything different in your life, did you fall on your knees in repentance of how you have lived your life, or did you just let the day come in disbelief.  The day came and passed but that day will come and maybe it is tomorrow, I don’t know.  What I do know is that the bible says we have to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, are you really ready to stand before our Heavenly Father.  I’m embarrassed to say that I would be ashamed of myself for how little of Jesus I let flow out of me to others, in word, deed, worship, prayer, giving, the list is so long.  I could say well I’ve been a pastor, I’ve been a worship leader,    I’m in christian radio, I must be ready, but yet I know that daily I need to fall on the power of Jesus in my life and keep seeking His face or the world will take control of every aspect of my life as I let my guard down in different areas.  If you have given your life to Jesus you can count on Heaven, but that prayer you prayed 20 or 30 years ago or even yesterday is not a magical incantation that makes it all better but the start of your new life, we need to grow every day being filled with the Holy Spirit and live a beautiful adventure, before Jesus return.  I feel like God want me to go right through Revelation in my talk times on the air.  So hang on to something and enjoy. Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens

4:00:     Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? Revelation 1

  1. The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.

The time is near,  and again I’ll say we can not pick a day no matter what you hear , but we can see when the season is on us through signs of the times.  Revelation is a prophetic book that can seam confusing.  If you read these words verse 3 says you will be blessed also if you hear and keep the things written in it, you will be blessed.  God did not intend for His word to you to be so cryptic that you don’t know what it means,  we are his kids and He will reveal His word to us as we seek Him in it.   So stay tuned as we go through Revelation over the weeks to come. Remember you can go to www.spirit-fm.ca and check out downloads under Trever to read what you may have missed.  Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

5:00: Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? Revelation 4 to 8  Greeting the Seven Churches   4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.   To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord,“who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation is the only New Testament book that focuses primarily on prophetic events.  Its title means “unveiling” or disclosure,”  The book is an unveiling of the character and program of God.  Penned by John during his exile on the island of Patmos, Revelation centers around visions and symbols of the resurrected Christ, who alone has the authority to judge the earth, to remake it, and to rule it in righteousness.

John here is writing a letter to seven churches in Asia, reminding them of what Jesus did for them with His blood and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, who is now our Father in Heaven.  He is telling them how Jesus will return in the clouds, every eye will see him, even those that pierced him will see.  You may be saying but they are dead, and you would be right, even the dead will see him.  It says He is the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end.  The bible says a day is like a thousand years to the Lord, so time is no factor to Him, only to us.  Some things we would have a hard time wrapping our heads around, but all we need to know is we will see Him, so will your neighbors but if you haven't told them it will be a surprise to them so fix that and tell them.  Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens

June Thursday, 2nd 2011  Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

3:00pm : Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? 2 Chronicles 7:14

New King James Version (NKJV)

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

The key words here are humble and pray and seek My face, oh and don’t forget turn from wicked ways.  Doing these things equal God hearing us, forgiveness of our sins and healing our land.  If you have given your life to Jesus then you are called by His name.  Have we become Sunday morning christians, do we really know how to humble ourselves, ?  how often do you seek His face, and wicked ways for us as christians most likely isn’t talking about murder, prostitution, but most worldly wickedness that we may think of, but it’s the hidden things we don’t want others to know we do, like gossip, control, manipulation, just simply playing church without humbling ourselves God would see as wicked.  Unfortunately we have cultivated in our churches the need to keep our lives private, especially as leaders of any kind in our churches.  We do this because every church has those individuals that are just waiting to find out something juicy they can spread around and even elaborate on to take a leader down.  I know no one wants to believe this but its everywhere, you may know a couple of people of the top of your head that do this.  Sad, because we all know we are saved by grace, we can not expect our leaders to be perfect, they are trying and many believe because they are not in leadership roles they can do whatever.  We all need to turn from wicked ways on a daily basis.  I don’t believe anyone but Jesus could say they don’t hide something. This verse is to us christians,  IF MY PEOPLE who are called by my name.  So yes we all have wicked ways.  We may think the world is more wicked, but actually they don’t know any better, but we do.  There will be a day when we are held accountable to that.  Lets stop fooling ourselves that we as christians are so pure.  What would happen if we turned from our wicked ways. We would be forgiven and our land would be healed, sounds pretty good to me.  Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

New King James Version (NKJV)

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Ya know I don’t want to be pulling out negatives from verses all the time,  but when I sit down and meditate on a verse I find so much that we fall short on continually.  What is awesome about this verse is we are Called by His name, how incredible is that, it;s easy to be humble before the Lord because we know He knows every detail of your life, our struggles and our successes,  Thats incredible as well.  Because we fall each day in some way, that is why He gives us new mercies each morning.  Again wow thank you Lord.  So when I cry out to heaven He hears me, forgives my sin’s and is healing our land as we speak.  keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens

3:00pm : Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? Psalm 86:5
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.

Mercy is a word that we look at as being for someone who has done something really bad, like a prisoner on death row or a gladiator in days of old that has lost the fight and all are waiting for the emperor to give thumbs up or down, maybe the crowd even chants mercy, mercy, mercy.  We need mercy, each one of us every day,  God grants us new mercy every morning, if we are willing to receive it.  God extends His mercy to you, you just have to receive it,  Jesus died on the cross nailing your sin’s to it.  Its done!.  Thats mercy.  We as humans, like to see justice done, if your wondering what a religious spirit does well, it believes God extended you mercy, but believes it has the task of carrying out a form of church justice to bring the guilty party to full healing.  Basically a religious spirit throws individuals back on the cross.  We can do that to ourselves as well personally.  To sum it up I would say.  “ when your done crucifying yourself you can then truly embrace Gods mercy.  Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

4:00:     Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? Psalm 59:16
But I will sing of Your power;Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense And refuge in the day of my trouble.

These are the words of David in the psalms,  he shows us how to call on God when  those around you, come against you in many different ways.  We feel the need to defend ourselves in adversity, we need to remember that God is our defender and also gives us a place of refuge.  We don’t need to fight for mercy just receive it.    Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

5:00: Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about?Psalm 31:7
I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy,For You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities,

We can be happy and rejoice in mercy,  I love the fact that God considers my trouble and see’s my soul in adversity.  Or maybe you don’t realize God is checking you out.  Believe me we need his continual mercy. Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

3:00pm : Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? Daily Grace   John 10:1 (NKV) "Most assuredly, I say to you, He who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."

Jesus Christ is the gate to the sheep pen, the door to eternal life. Many who call themselves Christians try to earn the eternal reward of heaven by engaging in certain rituals and traditions. Even more dangerous are those who know Jesus Christ is the only way, but they busy themselves in great ministries, church work, and 'Christian' activities to the point these things become their love. They have turned their faith from Jesus Christ alone, to their Christian lives. We should be putting feet to our faith by doing good works, but if we are doing these good works for the wrong reason, we are bypassing the true Door and are climbing in by our own spiritual sense of well being for the 'work' we have done.

4:00:     Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? Daily Grace Proverbs 14:29 (NKV) "He who is slow to wrath has great understanding: but he who is impulsive exalts folly."

If we are patient in trying circumstances, we are able to gain deep understanding into the situation and to make wise decisions about how we will respond. If we are given to anger in trying situations, we react from instant emotional energy that exposes our ignorance of the reality of things and causes us to look like fools.

5:00: Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? But now that you have been freed from sin and enslaved to God, the advantage you get is sanctification. The end is eternal life. (Romans 6.22 NRSV)

There was once a story from St. Louis about Karen Hickey, a 22-year-old secretary who had often wondered how it felt to be handcuffed. She found out the hard way. She tried on some old handcuffs that her boss had brought to the office. Unfortunately she forgot to ask if the boss had a key to the cuffs. She remained handcuffed for two hours until firemen working with electric cutters freed her.

There are people who live their entire lives in handcuffs, as it were, because of fear. And they never realize that Christ has the key

Talk about? From Religious Resources.org

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. (James 2.26 NKV)

A ball-point pen salesman persuaded a small business owner to order five hundred pens. He was writing the order in his sales book when suddenly the business owner exclaimed, "Hold on! I'm canceling the order!" With that, the business owner turned to wait on a customer and ignored the salesman. The salesman left the store angry and confused. Later, the business owner's bookkeeper asked, "Why did you cancel that pen order?" "Why?" responded the man. "Because that salesman talked ball-point pens to me for a half-hour, and described the benefits. He showed me how I could use them to expand my business. He had me convinced that I could not get along without those ball-point pens. Then he turned around and wrote my order with a lead pencil. He doesn't even use his own product!"

There is nothing in the world that will defeat us in life like saying one thing and doing another. It is still true, what we do speaks louder than what we say. People today are tired of phonies.

4:00:     Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about?— Ephesians 3:16-19 (NKV) —That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man. 17) that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18) may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height 19) to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

God's love is total. It reaches every corner of our experience. It is wide — it covers the breadth of our own experience, and it reaches out to the whole world. God's love is long — it continues the length of our lives. It is high — it reaches to the heights of our celebration and elation. His love is deep — it reaches to the depths of discouragement, despair and even death. When you feel shut out or isolated, remember that you can never be lost to God's love.

5:00: Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about James 1:17 (NKV) "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."

There is no evil in God, about God, or from God. All things good and beneficial flow from Him down to us. Like the clouds hide the sun, things may hinder our perception of God, but He never ever changes. We change our perspective of Him. He is still always showering us with good and perfect gifts, even if we can't clearly see it.

May, Friday 27th 2011  Luke 6: 43 - 45

3:00pm : Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? Luke 6: v43 - 45  Tree known by Its Fruits.  43) For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.  44)  For every tree is known by its own fruit.  For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.  45) A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil.  For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

So picture yourself as a tree, look at the fruits of your life, do you bear good fruit or bad.  Do we know what good fruit looks like.  When others think of you do they think they want to be around you, do they feel blessed having spent time with you?  There are people I know that I feel better after spending time with, I feel encouraged and lifted up.  You are seeing or should I say experiencing the Fruit of that persons life on your life.  Turn it around a bit and the person you just spent time with is a gossip, how do you leave feeling.  I usually leave a person like that feeling like I wish I didn’t know what was just told to me, and that  I don’t even know if it’s true about who they were talking about.  I feel like wow if they talk about those people like that, what do they say about me behind my back.  We can even make Gossip sound good by saying its a prayer request about so and so.  No matter how ya slice it, its bad fruit.  To see good fruit we need to water the tree, reading scripture, worshiping, and prayer change us from the inside out and water us giving us GOOD fruit. Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

What are other ways we can see if we are bearing good fruit,  it says that every tree is known by it’s own fruit.  I believe we are all unique in what we produce as fruit in our lives.  Each one of us stands out as a flavor almost  Haha.  Sounds funny but true.  Are you being asked to give in any ways at your church.  If your not, maybe you are not letting your fruit be seen, maybe you are showing bad fruit.  It says men do not gather figs from thorns.   If your anything like me I have some great fruit branches but I have some branches that are thorny.  Here is where God likes to do some pruning, and as rough as that can be, it is to bring me to a place of better growth and to produce more fruit.

Remember Fruit is good, Thorns are bad. Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

If your just tuning in on the hour we simply look at a verse or passage and stir it up a bit into our spirit so God can speak to each of us in possibly different ways.  If you have not heard the earlier  discussions you can check them out on the web site www.spirit-fm.ca under downloads to read and hear them all as they were done.

We have been talking about how to know if we have fruit in our lives today.  This being the last segment of the day, I’m concentrating on the last part,  For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.   If you listen to yourself, what do you hear in a day, is it anger, frustration, gossip, complaining ... the list goes on.  Or is it encouraging, loving, building up, supportive ... list also goes on.  If you had to put a percentage on the good said or the bad, would good win?  Would you be scared to ask someone close to you to give you those figures.  These are ways to see if you have true good fruit in your life.  You cannot stop from coming out what is in abundance in your heart, so we need to daily fill up on good things, allow God to prune when necessary, and to be willing to drop to our knees at a moments notice when we are convicted of thorns in our life. Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

May, Thursday 26th 2011       Luke 6: v27 to 36.

3:00pm : Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? Luke 6: v27 to 36.  But I say to you that hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, v18) bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. 29) To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also, And from him who takes away your cloak, do not with hold your tunic either. 30) Give to everyone who asks of you, And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.  31) And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.

Wow what do I say.  notice it starts by saying to you that hear.  We don’t really like to be reminded of these verses because we fall short so very often.  LOVE my enemies, really, do GOOD to those who hate you. How is that possible?  BLESS those that curse you, PRAY for those who spitefully use you? TURN the other cheek? Give to anyone who ask’s?.  If someone steels from you don’t ask for it back? Again its another do unto others style verse.  It seams like a list out of a fiction novel,  Do you know anyone that fits the bill on living life like this to the letter.?  I myself have a list of what I would call righteous ways of responding to everyone of these statements and if I go by these verses I would be wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.  It really took me back reading these words today,  only by the spirit of God could I do any of them and still would have a hard time walking it out everyday.  We joyfully receive God’s Mercy thats easy learning to distribute Gods Mercy though us is naturally harder to do.  Let us ask God to increase Mercy within us all.  Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

4:00:     Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about?       Luke 6: v27 to 36.       32)  But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?  For even sinners love those who love them. 33)And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.  34)And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, What credit is that to you?  For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back.

Ya know I have to ask myself what makes me different than anyone else,  Do I respond to everyday life just as anyone would? If someone was looking at my life would I stand out as a Christian?  or do I just look like any other Joe, that can say I go to church, that I am a christian, how brave of me. Prayed; “God give us the capacity to love our enemies, to turn the other cheek, to give with no thought of any kind of return.  Father to be seen in this world as extraordinary in our responses to others. Amen”.  Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

Talk about? Luke 6: v27 to 36 35) But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High.  For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.  36)  Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is Merciful.

We have been talking about Loving your enemies,  about responding extraordinarily to negative issues around us.  Don’t you get blown away by the verse here that says,  He is KIND to the Unthankful and Evil?  so be Merciful as your Father is also Merciful.  You may be saying why, or how.  It is because the Kindness of God that leads you to repentance.  There is a principal here that states that kind of mercy or grace or love what ever you want to call it, but that the Kindness of God will lead to repentance.  I admit I need Gods help to extend that kind of Kindness to others.  It is an area we can encourage each other to do more and more. Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

3:00pm : Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? Luke 6:38 Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom.  For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. This is as simple as do unto others as you would have them do to you.  But if you read carefully I picture a persons Arm’s stretched wide, high in the air, head back, chest in the air as God pushes into his or her chest a blessing that came from 1)  good measure I see as the measure you have given in , Time, money, volunteering, Speaking highly about others  2) pressed down, could be the lack of time or money left to make it yourself, a time of calling on God, for provision in your own life  3) Shaken together, I can see as the body of Christ coming together for the needs of others around them, as well as receiving themselves. God can use need to shack us together. 4) running over will be put into your bosom this could be symbolic of spiritual blessing or even financial blessing back or help in some way back to you. Notice it says with the same measure you USE   It sounds to me like we shouldn’t expect to receive much if we have  not given much.  Remember it is to the measure you give that the measure is given back.  Given it takes a humble spirit to ask for help or express need.  But from having this attitude in your heart you open a door for unique blessings.

4:00:     Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? Luke 6:38 Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom.  For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

I am continually drawn to the statement that says with the same measure that you use.   Ya know this verse is stuffed between verses on not judging one another, So we give respect and we don’t judge each other or condemn one another but we forgive.  These things are given back in the measure we give of them,  Hhuu! a line in the movie Brave Heart always rings in my ears, the statement is “ he hands out Hope like it was candy in his pocket”  If you look at your life is it hope you hand out to others , or are our eyes fixed on looking for something negative so we can feel righteous some how warning others.  I think we would all like to say we hand out HOPE so lets do that. Keeping it simple and stirring it up, Im Trever Wickens.

So this verse Give and it will be given to you is awesome we love those words and we receive them.  Do you think about your judgments towards people when you read this verse,  thats whats it all about so if you are judging or condemning or unforgiving you get that back to the same measure you give it. Hh!  I know I don’t want that.  I want people to have Grace for me to give me hope for the days to come, to know that if I fail in any area I can be forgiven.  I want that measured back to me.   Just like I talked about at 4:00pm I want to be able to hand out Hope like it is candy in my pocket.  Keeping it simple and stirring it up, I’m Trever Wickens.

3:00pm : Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about? John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Can you imagine giving up your only son so that someone else could live.  That is a love that is so deep, I have a hard time wrapping my head around it.  That is the kind of Love God has for you and for me.  I have two boys and two girls, I can’t imagine giving them up like God did with Jesus so that others may live. I would give up my life before seeing anything bad happen to my kids.  We have to understand God can not look at us in our sin, this is why Jesus had to go through what He did, so that by His blood we are washed cleaned able to now step into the presence of our Father in Heaven.

Talk about? John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

We very rarely include this verse when reading verse 16.  Maybe deep down we feel like drug dealers and murderers, and well a big list of bad people should have no chance for eternal life.  Knowing that God doesn’t have a list of better or worse sins, means any sin in your life is just as bad as the worst criminal.  We need as much Grace as the next guy.  But that the world through Him might be saved.  Having Jesus in your life means He wants to use you to extend that Grace and Love from Him to the world so that all can be saved. We would all say we know this principal but knowing and putting to practical use are very different things.

17) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.  Why do ya think that verse is written in after such a powerful verse on God’s love for us.  Maybe God knows we have a harder time extending the same kind of love to the world around us.  Just being human we are in-tolerated by wrong actions to life, we so desire justice to be done, as a part of that we start to judge those around us, and in doing so make ourselves better than others.  Even other Christians.  Remember to personalize your scripture when you read it.

3:00pm : Welcome, To Spirit FM.  Your Christian Music station.

Talk about?   Ephesians 2 vers 8 and 9.

For by Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.  not of works lest anyone should boast.

You had faith to believe in Jesus, so because of that faith God extends a gift of Grace to you.  You did nothing except believing for this Grace,  You needed this Grace because of sin in your life,  Remember back to that moment, and the days following giving your life to Jesus.  That feeling of relief that God pours on you by the Holy Spirit, because Jesus died and rose again just for your sins and is giving you a fresh start.   We are supposed to remember this time, its a huge reason we take communion, to remember.   Remember daily not just on the first Sunday of each month at your church, thats done so we all can remember together as the body of Christ.  God wants us to extend the same Grace to others that you yourself received.

Remember when you first gave your life to Jesus.  The Grace upon you felt so great and you would forgive and have Grace for anyone else at that moment.  Our human nature pushes us to believe that we have gotten better and better.  We can easily fall into the trap of works.  Works we do can start to make us feel better than others because of what we do, this can slowly turn Grace for people into Judgment to others, even other believers.  Works make us feel worthy of the gift, that comes across boastful. Grace brings us to our knees at the astonishment of our continual need for it, and for the compassion of God.  That compassion fills us with Grace for all others, melting away spiritual levels and making us all equals to each other and in the eyes of our Heavenly Father.

Years ago I heard a statement that has always stayed with me.  The statement was “ God does not need you, He wants you”.  We can fall into the feeling that God needs us to do what we do as Christians and God gives us gifts to be used and to grow in, that are unique to each individual.  When we stop remembering the Grace gifted to us, and the work we do becomes more important than extending Grace to others, we fall into an attitude of judgment rather than Grace to those God want so reach out to and not to alienate.  We need to remember that the Bible was written to believers not the lost. So when you read scripture it should sound personal. So for me this verse sound like this. For by Grace you, Trever have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;Trever,  it is the gift of God.  not of works lest Trever should boast.

I hurt myself on Friday, managed to twist up my ankle and my knee.  I got up to quick leaving my shop in the back yard, I passed out and knocked myself silly with my face into the fence.  This on top of chronic hip pain I’m always in because of arthritis, left hand fingers cut off and disc removed from my lower back.  When I was at the hospital on Friday they had decided that I may have had a seizure, so with that I have had my license to drive taken away for six months or until I get a neurologist's approval that I am ok.  Everyone please pray I get to see the Neurologist very soon!,  it can take months!

Ya come to a place where ya wonder can I keep going, Can I make it.  Chronic pain is something that many people around us walk through.  You may be surprised as to whom around you walks in chronic pain.  At first appearance they look completely normal possibly even beautiful in there own way or in accomplishments.   Like a Rose, beautiful to look at until you reach out and touch it and for the first time feel the pain of the thorns.  Those of us with chronic pain hide the fact we are in pain so that people will still reach out and touch us, and on the other hand are kind of reclusive because we can only do so much and are scared to let people down because of pain.

I was reading the verse in 2 Corinthians 12 Ver’s 9.  New King James version reads: “My Grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” There-fore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Paul wrote this in scripture about the thorn in his flesh,. We are never told what pain he had, but he is trying to teach us something.  Our weakness is the best opportunity for us to be examples of God’s divine power working in and through us.  So as uncharacteristic as it feels to do, I boast, happily in my weakness so that the power of God may fall upon me.  Funny eh! it makes sense because who gets the Glory by doing this, your right, God!

I am at the point where I would rather let God have the Glory, than to get the credit for something I believe I did on my own and not have the Power of Christ rest upon me.  I have taken pride in not complaining about my pain and just slugging through life, but I kind of hold on to the credit of what I may have accomplished, because of the tears it took to accomplish them.  Remember this verse does not mean its ok to be a complainer but to boast in your weakness’s so God will be Glorified when He uses you in your weakness.  There will be a day when Jesus will return and wipe away your tears, when He will take away your pain, when He will turn sorrow into joy unspeakable.  Believe me when I say let God have the Glory in all things because the Power of Jesus upon you is the only way to experience true heavenly relief in this life.
