Chris Coon is the Music Director at the Baptist church in Campbell River, BC. He plays many instruments and has a wonderful heart for God. Chris is the music director at the Baptist Church in Campbell River. He loves to sing and play music for the Lord. Chris received most of his musical training at Prairie Bible College and Trinity Western University. He loves to work with people who are passionate about worshipping Jesus through music. Songwriting is something that Chris would like to spend much more time doing now that he is involved in the music ministry full-time.
Trent Atkinson is a singer/songwriter currently living in Campbell River, British Columbia. His musical journey began in 1989, as he began wowing the audiences in small Squamish venues, with his alternative rock sound. His former band, Zombie Roof (originally the Noise), became a favorite around Vancouver Clubs in the early to mid 1990's.
After his move to Campbell River, Trent's artistic interests developed into pursuing more diverse genres of music including alternative, country, rock, gospel, and folk. Each of these genres could be seen in the songs that he was writing, producing and performing. His passion for these various musical genres gave Trent the opportunity to share his music in a wider variety of community and church events.
Trent continues in his passion of writing music, performing and producing music. Trent has a unique gift in producing music that appeals to a diverse audience and feels that his passion to write in the various genres is the direction his musical gifting is leading him.
Trever & Tanya Wickens
Trever Wickens Spirit FM's Program/Music Director & Wife Tanya
Trever loves song writing and recording. Attended Columbia Academy of Radio,Television and Recording Arts. He grew up playing in churches as his Dad Gordon Wickens was a Pastor and Principal of Christian schools. Trever has a heart for equipping sound techs, song writers, singers, musicians, and most of all cultivating worship using all the Arts not just the singing. Trever and Tanya his wife are very excited at the birth of a Christian radio station here in Campbell River, and a note of interest its the only one in BC presently. Being a non-profit organization its like they are missionaries in there own home town. Tanya Wickens loves singing, loves to worship and has probably been seen around town singing at all sorts of events around Campbell River. She sings, plays guitar, flute, percussion and loves to learn new songs. Tanya works with kids during the day at (Christian Life Childrens Center) and has taken them down to sing and bless the groups at Evergreen Sr's Home. She sings with a group called Ocean Pearl periodically at local Campbell River events like the Pier Street Market. Tanya has been on teams in many different denominations around the lower mainland and Vancouver Island. You would probably find her singing on a team regularly at the Campbell River Baptist church. She has blessed women at retreats planning and presenting the music. She mothers four teenagers and her husband Trever.
Adam Sommerville is in grade 12 at the Christian school in Campbell River. He plays guitar and leads worship.
Jim & Kristy Miller
Jim & Kristy Miller Jim is the coastal field director and director of the enthomusicology division of NAIM ministries. Jim loves music and plays many instruments. He and Kristy have worked alongside First Nations musicians for many years in the creation of indigenous Christian music. Kristy and Jim have sung and performed together for over 25 years. Kristy is a voice teacher here in Campbell River and a part of the Raincoast Performing Arts Studio. Their heart for the Lord is what motivates their music and life.
